Pricing FAQ
Answers to common pricing and billing questions.
What counts as a write?
A write is an append-only event stored in your history, such as a memory capture, update, or pin operation. Updates to existing items (revisions) count as separate writes toward your monthly limit.
How do attachments work?
Attachments are images and files stored separately in object storage (not embedded in event payloads). Upload attachments via the API, then reference them by ID in your events. Pro includes 100 GB of attachment storage with files up to 25 MB each.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. You can change your plan at any time from the dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
What happens when I hit my write limit?
You can still query and pack existing data, but new writes are rejected until the next billing period or you upgrade.
Is there a self-hosted option?
Yes. XMDB can run entirely on your infrastructure. Contact us for Enterprise pricing and deployment support.
